Using Clapscale

By creating an account, writing a Customer Story or using clapscale.com, you agree to these terms. If you use Clapscale for a business, you confirm you are allowed to act for it. You must be at least 18 years old to create a business account.

Business accounts

• You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep your email account secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• You may invite only customers you have actually served, and only through Clap Cards made for them.
• You may not pay for, write, edit or pressure customers into stories that do not reflect their real experience.
• You may not try to change a Clap Score, or to get around the verification step.

Customer Stories

• A Customer Story belongs to the customer who wrote it. When a customer submits one, they give the business and Clapscale permission to display it on the business's page and on links to that page.
• Business owners tag and publish stories. They cannot edit the customer's words. A customer can ask to edit their own story, and the owner can approve or decline.
• Customers should write about their own real experience and should not include anyone else's private information.

The Clap Score

The Clap Score is the plain average of Trust, Smile and Value from verified customer responses. It becomes visible after 10 verified responses and is cumulative, so deleting a card does not change it.

What you may not do

• Post anything unlawful, hateful, defamatory, misleading or that infringes someone's rights.
• Upload malware, or try to break, overload or scrape the service.
• Pretend to be another person or business.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

Plans and payment

Clapscale has a free plan and paid plans, described on the Pricing page. The terms of billing, including renewal and cancellation, are shown when you subscribe to a paid plan. We may change plans and prices, and we will give notice before a change affects an active subscription.

Your content and ours

You keep ownership of what you upload. Clapscale, its name, design and software belong to us. You may not copy or resell them.

Ending your account

You can stop using Clapscale at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account on the Contact page. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms.

No guarantees

We work to keep Clapscale reliable and accurate, but the service is provided "as is". We do not promise it will always be available or error-free, and we are not responsible for what customers or businesses write. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the issue arose.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India will have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is meaningful, we will update the date above and tell active account holders. Using Clapscale after a change means you accept it.
